Katie and her team are very charming, very respectful and friendly. They cater to all requests.
Our teachers are professionals and it is a pleasure to attend classes.
Arles a la carte, as the name already suggests, is a very special place and not only an extraordinary language school.
« You learn a language well, when you feel well. » Katie, the director of the school, explained that to me while having lunch together. These joint meals are being offered by this school and can be booked under « dejeuners linguistiques ». One of the innovating ideas of this school, which speaks for itself.
The whole team is delightful, it is a great pleasure to study with them. Each of them shows an inspiring engagement that exceeds all school work. Through them I learned about several events in the city that I visited and took part in events I would have never discovered and enjoyed on my own.
Apart from Arles‘ extraordinary history and cultural variety this school adds an enriching experience through the extraordinary engagement of the school’s staff to all those who are interested in language. « Chapeau » is all I need to say.
Thomas M.I really liked the way the lessons were integrated with Arles, with culture, with the market shopping. It made it twice as educational for me.
Everyone was so kind, patient, supportive, friendly, open. I loved every minute of my time and was very happy to have found you. Many thanks for a great experience, not only with learning and improving my French, but also in terms of meeting new people, learning new things, and connecting with the culture of Arles itself. It’s clear you all love what you do.
Mike MI felt very comfortable speaking French with everyone and loved the environment that was created during the program. (…) I really liked being included in all that the family did. Whether it was playing piano, taking dance lessons, watching aikido lessons or just chilling at the house. I don’t think I’ll ever forget what a great time we all had together. Thank you endlessly.
Jeanna L.« Arles à la carte is a great way to learn a language, in my case french. The atmosphere is somewhere between a little school and a private session in your living room. »
During my short 3 weeks in Arles I have learned more here than in my 9 years studying French (…) Words cannot express my overwhelming satisfaction with this program.
Katie has done a magnificent job in providing individually designed French programmes for three of our four children over an 18 month period. Each course was very successful in its own way, targeting preparation for US SATs, public exams, and more basic linguistic competence. Katie is very hands-on and focused on the detail of the programme (both academic and cultural). She took a personal interest in each of the children, accompanying them on wonderful outings and being involved in the tuition. We can’t recommend her and Arles à la carte too highly – our fourth child hopes to attend in the near future.
